Meet Lindsay Harbers, Manager of Executive Support and Business Line Operations at Stratford!

by: Madeleine Eisert

As managers and executives at Stratford, we’ve led departments, divisions and whole organizations through growth and change. We have the “stars and scars” to offer meaningful, practical guidance or serve hands-on if that’s required.

Beyond our credentials, what sets us apart are the values we share and the ways we work. Every member of our team has a passion for giving back and helping organizations reach their goals. It’s why clients often tell us that when they met our people, they knew they wanted to do business with us.

To help you get to know us a little better, we sat down with some of our team members and interviewed them on everything from professional experience and obstacles to extracurricular activities and playlist recommendations. We thought you may appreciate seeing the personal side of our team through their shared personal insights, recommendations and hobbies.

We’d like to introduce you to Lindsay Harbers, Manager of Executive Support and Business Line Operations at Stratford Intellectual Property.

An Interview With Lindsay Harbers.

🎵  What do you like to listen to while working?

I love listening to podcasts but tend to gravitate to lighter ones while I am working so that I don’t have to concentrate too hard on what I’m listening to.

Do you have any recommendations?

My go-to’s tend to be:

    • My Favorite Murder
    • How Did This Get Made
    • Rewatchables

..When I really need to focus, I will play instrumental versions of pop songs (Jeremy Green and Tyler & Mark are favs)

📚  What are your favourite business books, podcasts, and blogs?

🦄  What do you think makes Stratford unique?

The unique ability to tap into a whole team of experts with various backgrounds.

😍  What is your favourite type of client engagement?

Any and every IP engagement! At Stratford Intellectual Property we tend to have long-term client engagements (years & years)…. which makes all IP engagement so fun and rewarding because it allows me to watch the trajectory of the company and witness first hand how they build and grow their business/portfolio.

👩‍🍳 What are some of your favourite past times?

I love to crank up some music while trying out new recipes (the more complex the better) and I took up subversive cross-stitching this past year.

📺  Any recommended movies or TV programs?

    • Ugly Delicious (if you only watch 1 episode, make it the first one of season 2)
    • Somm
    • Parasite
    • Stranger Things
    • Game of Thrones

👩‍💻  Any recommendations on people to follow on their LinkedIn or Twitter accounts?

I find Simon Sinek to be a genuinely insightful follow for leadership advice and just business and people in general.

🚧  What’s one of the biggest obstacles you’ve had to overcome as it relates to your career?

Fear. Fear of saying no. Fear of sounding pushy or overconfident. Fear that you don’t have the necessary qualifications. Fear of not seeming like a team player.

Change the way you communicate – stop saying “I think” when you know just so you don’t sound confrontational. Ask questions. Challenge the status quo. Say no if you don’t have the bandwidth. Say yes, even if it scares you.

🌟  What GIF best describes you?

📣 Do you have any favourite quotes?

“Never give up on a dream just because of the time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway.”

– Earl Nightingale.

“When you can’t control what’s happening, challenge yourself to control how you respond to what’s happening. That’s where your power is.”

– Unknown (I’ve had this pinned to my computer monitor for a while, but it is especially fitting now.)

We look forward to introducing you to others here at Stratford and we’d love the chance to get to know you better too. If you’d like to connect with Lindsay or other members of the Stratford team, please reach out. We’d love to hear from you.
