Meet Lisa Fader, Manager of IP Operations at Stratford

by: Madeleine Eisert

As managers and executives at Stratford, we’ve led departments, divisions and whole organizations through growth and change. We have the “stars and scars” to offer meaningful, practical guidance or serve hands-on if that’s required.

Beyond our credentials, what sets us apart are the values we share and the ways we work. Every member of our team has a passion for giving back and helping organizations reach their goals. It’s why clients often tell us that when they met our people, they knew they wanted to do business with us.

To help you get to know us a little better, we sat down with some of our team members and interviewed them on everything from professional experience and obstacles to extracurricular activities and playlist recommendations. We thought you may appreciate seeing the personal side of our team through their shared personal insights, recommendations and hobbies.

We’d like to introduce you to Lisa Fader, Manager of IP Operations at Stratford Intellectual Property.

Lisa Fader

Manager of IP Operations

Time with Stratford:
Since April 2017

Area of Expertise:
Global Intellectual Property Administration

Kinaxis, Ignis, Accedian, Elenion, Lee Valley

🎵 What do you like to listen to while working?

The UK 1940’s radio station.

🌟 Who are you most influenced by?

My colleagues.

👍 How do you add value to your clients?

I provide the same, complete admin service that a law firm can provide.

🦄 What do you think makes Stratford unique?

Stratford has experienced professionals that provide clients with expert advice and guidance for every aspect of their business.

🚴‍♀️ What are some of your favourite past times?

    • Walking
    • Cycling
    • Reading

📺 Any recommended movies or TV programs?

    • Vera
    • Schitt’s Creek

🚧 What’s one of the biggest obstacles you’ve had to overcome as it relates to your career?

I have always worked in administration. Newly divorced and re-entering the work force after staying home with my children for 10 years meant I had to compete with younger candidates, start almost at the bottom of my skill level and pay grade and work my way up. Experience gained 10 years prior was discounted. I had to lower my expectations and choose positions that were not flexible for a single parent.

I held three positions at a large company where I was able to gain valuable experience and given the opportunity to advance my career.

📣 Do you have any favourite quotes?

You have brains in your head.  You have feet in your shoes.  You can steer yourself any direction you choose.

– Dr. Suess

🌟 What GIF best describes you?

🤔 If there is one thing you hope your clients gain from working with you, what would you want it to be?

Trust. We can provide the professional services we promise on time and budget.

We look forward to introducing you to others here at Stratford and we’d love the chance to get to know you better too. If you’d like to connect with Lisa or other members of the Stratford team, please reach out. We’d love to hear from you.
