Stratford’s client, Calian Group, recently announced their acquisition of local IT security firm Secure Technologies, proving it’s maintaining an aggressive growth strategy through acquisitions.
Calian, a diversified company that provides a range of business and technology offerings, says it purchased Ottawa-based, Secure Technologies, to strengthen Calian’s position as an expanding cyber security solutions provider serving a high-growth market. Secure Technologies is an award-winning provider of world-class cyber security solutions such as those from McAfee, Forcepoint, Fortinet and Gemalto. The company was one of the first in Canada to offer an integrated approach to securing computer and communications networks.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The acquisition is the latest step in the company’s strategic plan to expand its cybersecurity offerings that began when Calian acquired another local IT firm, DWP Solutions, in 2014.
