Amanda Gordon Works With Boyden To Recruit KNBA Executive Director

Stratford Managers’ Amanda Gordon, VP, Human Resources Consulting, recently partnered with Jim Harmon, Managing Partner at Boyden, for the search and selection of the Kanata North Business Association (KNBA)’s newest Executive Director.

Jamie (Keeley) Petten has been appointed as the Association’s new President and Executive Director and will officially assume her new role on May 22, 2018. She was selected as the result of an extensive search which drew the interest of candidates from across the country. She was also recently announced as a 2018 Forty Under 40 recipient, by the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce and the Ottawa Business Journal (OBJ).

“Jamie is a well-known and established member of the KNBA business community with a reputation as a community builder and thought leader,” said Amy MacLeod, Chair, KNBA Board of Directors and VP Corporate Communications, Mitel. 

As a founding member of Canadian SaaS Accelerator, L-SPARK, Jamie was head of marketing since its launch in 2014, and is passionate about developing Canada’s technology companies into globally competitive firms. She is also a co-founder of SAAS NORTH, known as Canada’s first conference connecting 1000+ software as a service founders, investors and executives, hosted over two days in Ottawa.

As a member of the KNBA Board of Directors, Amanda Gordon brings her Human Resources (HR) expertise to support their drive for the attraction and retention of top talent and sits on their HR Leaders Council

“The main focus of the HR Leaders Council is to encourage companies in the Kanata North Tech Park to come together as a community and discuss their talent attraction strategies and issues, in order to collectively combine our efforts,” says Amanda.

To date, the drive for collaboration over competition has resulted in the Discover TechNATA Recruitment Fair, marketing Kanata North to prospective employees and working on a strategic plan.
